The return of our annual Get Active event will take place on Friday 27th and Saturday 28th January 2017 and follows a similar format to last year's event. This year all of our participants will be able to take part in all of the planned workshops.
We're delighted to confirm five workshops that will take place over the weekend:
- UNISON Digital Project
UNISON Digital - Political Mapping in the South West
UNISON West Midlands - Difficult Discussions and Challenging Racism
HOPE not hate - Employment Law Update
Thompsons Solicitors - Radical History in the South West
South West TUC
There will be two plenary sessions for all attendees;
- Achievements in and ambitions for UNISON in the South West
Joanne Kaye, Kevid Judd, Debbie Russell and Roger McKenzie - Brexit - the challenges for the future for UNISON members and Public Services
Karin Smyth MP. Joanne Kaye and more to be announced
On Friday evening there will be the Awards dinner open to delegates attending the Get Active! event and invited guests.
Spaces are limited this year so book early to avoid disappointment. We would like to have lots of first time attendees at Get Active so if you have anyone in your branch who has not experienced this fun and informative event please encourage them to sign up.
Please note: You can register for the Get Active event and evening awards ceremony or the Get Active event only. You can make this choice during registration.
Registration for the Get Active event is separate from registration from South West Regional Council and South West Committee. If you are also attending either of these, please go here to register.
If you are registering on behalf of someone else, you must provide that member's details to ensure they can access the event. Multiple registrations in the same name will not be accepted.
Get Active costs £40 per delegate, with a 50% discount for new attendees (invoiced to branches). You must have the approval of your branch to attend Get Active. Branches are responsible for all costs associated with attending the event including travel and accomodation.
Once you have registered you will receive confirmation and reminder emails from our Eventbrite account. Please do not unsubscribe to notifications from the organiser as we use these for surveys and further info about the event.
Registration closes Friday 6th January 2017 at 6pm
